Excavation Environment for VR-Room

TL;DR: VR excavation project for Quest2-headset using the geometry of an existing room as base for this Digital Twin experience.
|
Updated project from 2022 I crafted for the NewWorkDesignLab™ at a public university I worked.
I realized this realtime environment resembling the scene of an archaeologic excavation for the Quest2 VR-headset. The experience was designed using the existing geometry of an real room in the building.
All objects were custom made and optimized for use in midrange-VR. The embedding for the headset and room-tracking was realized by Vincent Schiller using Unity Engine.
This experience was used at an event where scientific institutions showcase interactive exhibits and experiments to the public.
